Impact Team Tennis at Avalon

IMPACT TEAM TENNIS it's all about FUN and CAMARADERIE!

The plan is to have an ITT tournament before USTA leagues are starting at the beginning of April. For this time of the year two divisions will be offered, 3.0 and 3.5. Each division will have a minimum of 4 teams so we can qualify at least a team for Regionals in each division. Will be a round-robin format. The matches will be scheduled during the last weekend of February, or/and in the following weekends in March, depending on the weather.

The roster of a team should have at least two men and two women. The format consists of six no-ad sets played on two courts: men’s and women’s doubles, men’s and women’s singles, and two sets of mixed doubles. Substitutions and coaching are allowed during the match. A match is won by the team with the most total games won at the end of the final set. Local league winners qualify for Regionals, and Regionals winners will qualfy for Nationals. Players of different levels can play on the same team as long as the average of the top two male players and top two female players is the same as the league level. Current end of year 2023 and self rated 2024 USTA ratings are used for the ITT tournament. If you do not have an USTA rating, you must self rate on the USTA site through TennisLink as all players must have an USTA rating.

- extra $10 for non-members to cover court fees.
- no registration fee for captains.

Awards will be presented to the winners of each division.
